If you have a music profile setup on MySpace (basically any profile that has the MySpace music player on it), follow the instructions below to add your BigSong link to your profile
- Login to MySpace and click "Edit Profile," which appears next to where it says "Hello, [YourBand's Name Here]!"
- Choose the "Band/Musician Details" tab at the top and then click "Edit" under the section you would like to add your BigSong link to.
- In the section you picked, click where you want to paste your BigSong link and paste it by going to Edit and then Paste on your internet browser. Then add in some text saying something like "Click the artwork above/below to buy our new single/album for £PRICE"
- Then click "Preview:"
- You will arrive at a preview page.
- If you are satisfied with the look, click "Submit". If you aren't happy, click "Edit" (though it should be fine if you've arrived at this step of the process).
- Congratulations! You have just added a BigSong link to your MySpace Music profile page!
Mailing lists are where people can sign up for updates. A good one to use is
www.fanbridge.com They will provide you with a link to add to your myspace so that people can add their email address. You can then email people to let them know of upcoming shows etc. and to let them know they can buy music direct from your site!
Generally these guys are quite costly and choosy about who they work with. If they really like your music though then you may be able to pick up an agent who will help to get you review in the paper, payed on the radio or a great support tour. You can find names of agents from other bands that you like, or you could look in the following directories (although you may have to subscribe!):

Look at similar bands and style to your music. Find out who listens to them, where they hang out, what they’re interested in, what they read. Once you’ve done this, let them know about you. You can do this in lots of ways – hand out flyers, send them emails, play a gig to them...
